Activity Overview

• Participation in the Boree Regatta Region Camp
• Boree Regatta is a two night camp at Kurnell for all sections of all groups in the South Metropolitan region.
• The Cub Scouts will have a day of land activities and a day of water activities.
• The Scouts will have a day of water activities and a day of land activities.
• The Venturer Scouts will do their thing, in Kurnell and in/on the water.
• Scouts: Kayak Marathon. For everybody: Boree Knotting Challenge. JOTA. Disco. 
• 

Preparation

• Practise the six Boree knots for the Boree Knotting Challenge.
• Practise the standard land games with your unit.
• Practise building the raft with your unit.
• Practise building a flagpole (Scouts).
• The theme is "Everything Aussie", so have your best Australian outfit with you!
• Help needed from parents! On Friday at 14:30 we will need lots of hands to setup the mess tent and the kitchen.

Clothing, Food and Equipment

• Uniform for opening ceremony.
• Standard camping gear, including mess-kit. Tents are supplied.
• Swimmers, watershoes, rashy.
• Warm clothes for in the evening.
• Hat, closed shoes.
• If the weather looks like we get rain, extra socks, shirts and raincoat.
• No chocolate, no electronics. All lollies are expected to be shared.

Travel Arrangements

• Parents bring on Friday after 17:00 and before 20:00, or on Saturday morning before 09:00.
• Parents pick up on Sunday around 15:00.
• If you need help with carpool or transport, talk to the section leaders.
• Note that parking can be a while away from the camp site.

Costs

• $65 if registered before Saturday 5 September 18:00.
• $70 if registered before Wednesday 30 September 18:00.
• Payment to the group bank account with the description of "Boree <name of child>".
• No late registrations!
